The forests of Latin America and the Caribbean make up some of the most ecologically valuable ecosystems in the world. But in the last 40 years, about 40% of the forest cover in this area has been deforested or degraded.

Aware of the impact of this problem in the world, we joined the Initiative 20×20, a commitment to conserve and restore the region’s forests, which has already been joined by 17 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, and which this year seeks to protect 20 million hectares of degraded land on the continent.
From Conexión Jaguar we contribute to the 20 million hectares goal of the Initiative 20×20, and to the commitment of 50 million hectares by 2030, signed at COP 25 in Chile/Madrid.

We are happy to join initiatives that, like us, work to positively impact ecosystems and combat climate change, and that allow us to reaffirm our commitment to new generations, rural communities, and the future of the planet.
