Conexión Jaguar is the sustainability program of Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. (ISA), carried out by the company to contribute to biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation.
Within the framework of this program, the company provides technical and financial support to those who have forest recovery and preservation projects that meet the criteria stipulated by the company and contribute to the reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. This selection is made through annual calls between 2017 and 2030 for different countries in the region.
The best projects will enter Conexión Jaguar, through which they will be able to issue and trade carbon credits certified to international standards. The resources obtained through this mechanism will be invested in actions to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere, protect the jaguar and its associated biodiversity, and improve the quality of life of the communities.
The 2017 projects will issue bonds in voluntary carbon markets to receive resources that will enable the sustainability of their activity.
The company is working on the Conexión Jaguar program.

The other project is in Tierra Alta, Córdoba, with 300 hectares with the potential to reduce 45.000 tons of CO2.
